Take the Pledge

I pledge to do my part. We need your commitment to achieve our goal of ending all traffic deaths and serious injuries on Sedalia's streets.

Take the pledge to become a safe driver, cyclist and pedestrian. Help our community achieve safe streets for all because human lives are irreplaceable.

I Pledge To:

  • Be aware of my surroundings and look out for all Sedalians. Motorcyclists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users.
  • Obey the speed limit and rules of the road when driving, walking and biking.
  • Stop at stop signs and red lights.
  • Stay focused and not drive distracted or impaired.
  • Use seatbelts and car seats.
  • Say “crash” and not “accident” to create a culture of safety and reinforces the idea that crashes are preventable and not inevitable.
